He is responsible for production planning and the day-to-day management of the company.

Our Team

All of our products are manufactured at our facility in Devon, UK, giving us full control over quality and allowing us to meet the high standards expected by professional and trade users. This streamlined, in-house production means we can respond quickly to technical queries, fulfil orders efficiently, and ensure consistent product availability. Our experienced manufacturing team ensures each machine is built to perform and delivered fully assembled, ready to go straight to work.

Founder James Chapman remains closely involved in day-to-day operations, offering direct support and advice to trade customers. With Chapman, you’re partnering with a British manufacturer that values long-term relationships and is committed to helping your business get the most from every purchase — with dependable machinery and responsive after-sales support.

Welding & Fabrication Team

Our Welding & Fabrication Team is the backbone of Chapman’s end-to-end manufacturing process — transforming raw steel into rugged, precision‑engineered machinery designed for agricultural, equestrian, and rural estate use. Operating from our UK manufacturing facility, the team utilises advanced welding equipment, including precision MIG welding and heavy‑duty fabrication tools, to deliver robust structural assembly and finish each machine to exacting standards. From flail mowers to dump trailers and paddock cleaners, every component benefits from their craftsmanship, ensuring durability and a high-quality finish that underpins our two-year warranty promise

Paint & Assembly Team

Our Paint & Assembly Team plays a vital role in delivering the high-performance, professional-grade finish that defines every Chapman machine. Once components are precision‑fabricated, they move through a rigorous painting process that includes industrial-grade powder coating for maximum durability and weather resistance — essential for equipment used in demanding agricultural and estate environments. The team then carries out meticulous final assembly, ensuring every flail mower, paddock sweeper, or trailer is fully tested and built to our exacting standards. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality control help us consistently deliver reliable, British-made machinery that’s ready to perform from day one.

Why choose Chapman?

Founded in 2010, we’re one of the newer manufacturers in the machinery world. We often get asked by potential customers why we think our machinery is better than the existing providers. So here are a few reasons why we’re great to deal with.
2 YEAR WARRANTY

To get to number one we strive to produce high-quality machinery at a competitive price point and stand by it with an industry-leading two-year warranty.

MADE IN BRITAIN

We genuinely believe the only way to truly keep quality consistent is to have your design, manufacturing, sales and spares all on one site, which we do.

PERFORMANCE & INNOVATION

We design each and every one of our machines to feature innovative unique features to give you the best user experience and performance every day.
