Broke x2 belts on my used FM120 over the weekend and went to chapman mowers and was welcomed by every staff member I came across . The lady in the office who has a little black dog called razer I can't remember her name but what a loverly member of staff. She knew the exact belts I needed for my unit and took me to them on the shelf . Showed me around a bit . I will be purchasing a RM120 from them this year for sure no other company comes close to the quality of the machines at chapman with the parts back up the staff being as nice and knowledgable as they were it's no wonder why I will return.

I have used a Chapman FM120 flail mower since I purchased it new in 2014 and it’s been an excellent, reliable and efficient mower for my horse paddock, regularly used every year and following the first cut after the winter dealing with new growth of docks, thistles, nettles and coarse grass etc. It’s very easy to set up and use behind my quad bike with a 50mm ball hitch. The heavy duty British design and manufacturing cannot be faulted as I have had no issues over the years and the Honda electric start engine is as powerful as the day I bought it and starts first time, every time. I’ve just bought a replacement set of flail drive belts (a matched pair, replaced as just stretched with normal use and age) and again, the usual engine servicing parts and am pleasantly surprised and pleased at the competitive prices and the friendly, responsive and comprehensive after-sales service is second to none! Same day replies and shipment overnight!
I’ve seen a number of cheaper imports appear and disappear over the years at various Agri shows (and I did a comparison in 2014 before I purchased the FM) and I have still not seen any mower to compare to the Chapman especially for frame strength, features, quality of components and the build quality excels. In short, as is always the case when it comes to value for money, you get what you pay for. Well done and proud to support British manufacturing!

We had a problem with the bed on the topper, the machine was collected and returned with the bed replaced and the design strengthened - the company have been very easy to deal with and the equipment is very well made.

From our experience, don't waste your money trying to save a few quid unless you are happy to spend the difference on endless repairs, lost time and stress. Pay just a little extra and get proper quality British designed/made.
Over the moon with our FM120pro Flail mower purchased in May, been using it all summer on rough pasture/bracken/reeds/ uneven ground literally ploughs through with no effort.

We bought a flail mower over a year ago - it is an amazing piece of kit. Initially bought to cut brambles and nettles back, but now also use it to cut grass with hammer teeth achieveing an almost lawn mowed finish. It is well built - obviously designed by someone who uses one - great Honda engine with seperate fuel tank which is great as other makes have an integral fuel tank above the engine which causes problems of fuel seepage into the sump (and for a friend this caused the engine to blow apart). It can also be mounted with an angled draw bar to offset cut. Adjusting the height of cut is really easy. We have the mulching bar attachment which works well.

After months of research looking at other makes and cheaper makes we bought the Chapman round bale trailer. We needed to be able to move bales into the field over the winter and using a tele handlers was just making a mess. We opted for the twin axle version for the low ground pressure and the added capacity. The built quality is great, strong, galvanized and effortless to use with the remote electric winch. We run it behind a quad bike and this works really well. We should haver bought one years ago.
