Product Description

MG250-main
The MG250 Arena Leveller is a 8′ (2.4m) working width Arena Leveller, designed for levelling and grading a variety of arena surfaces quickly and easily.
The MG250 Arena Grader is perfect for the levelling and maintenance of arenas, gallops and rides. Available as standard as a towed unit for use behind almost any vehicle equipped with a 50mm ball or pin hitch. Alternatively the MG250 can be supplied as a 3-point linkage mounted version for use on compact or mid-sized tractors.
Built to an exceptionally high specification, the MG250 Menage leveller features high quality components & extremely durable Zinc-plating & powder-coated finish to ensure a long service life with minimal maintenance. Tried and tested design used extensively across thousands of arenas from small personal arenas up to competition / Olympic standard.

Arenas, sand schools and gallops are expensive – careful and timely maintenance can make the difference between a long-lasting, brilliant riding surface, and a hard, dusty surface which can endanger both you and your horses. In order to get the best return from your investment, regular maintenance must be carried out using the right tool for the job. It is true, many people use an old gate, or simple drag harrows to simply level the arena surface – but what is this actually doing for your expensive surface, and therefore for you and your riding experience?

To ensure you get the best from your investment, be it new or old, a quality grader will lift the top of the surface, level it, and re-lay it to a consistent depth and firmness across the whole surface. Hard spots are eliminated, dust is reduced, and drainage is improved. Furthermore, the wide width of the MG250 means you can level your surface quickly and with minimal fuss! For advanced fibre or wax stabilised surfaces such as CombiRide, Turfloat or CLOPF, a maintenance regime is essential as it orientates the fibres correctly to give the desired surface feel.

Featuring a pre-levelling bar to allow the large diameter wheels to roll smoothly over the surface; integrated hardened ground engaging tines with adjustable working depth; feathering levelling blade to smooth out high and low spots and a following roller (optional) to consolidate and orientate fibres across the surface, the MG250 is a high specification machine. Easy to use once set-up initially, the machine can be changed from work to transport modes at the flick of a lever, to ensure your grading remains consistent between use.

  1. 5 out of 5

    :

Bought my leveller over 3 years ago now and it still as good as new, regularly used to level a 60×20 sand school it’s covered several acres by now!! Whatever weather the surface has thrown at it the leveller returns it to a level, even consistency, every time the school is hired out we get comments on the quality of the surface and the fact that there is no sub surface compaction due to the spring times working below the surface, when they see the machine in action the results are plain to see…

  2. 5 out of 5

Exceptionally well-made product, cleverly designed. We have used ours for over three years on a 60×20 sand and fiber school in the SW of France. Equally refreshing customer service, fast polite and personal service. Highly recommended.

Rear Roller – For a one pass finish or where consolidation is required. Highly recommended for large arenas, or those containing advanced fibres such as CombiRide, CLOPF & Turfloat surfaces. Sealed bearings allow the roller to work smoothly, and require minimal maintenance. Unique design allows the roller to be used independently, as extra ballast when heavy grading is required, or in normal operation, as a following consolidation roller.

3-Point Linkage Mounted – 3 point linkage mounted version in place or standard 50mm ball hitch trailed unit. Ideal for larger arenas where more regular maintenance is required.

Blade Wear Strips – Bolt-on reversible blade wear strips are manufactured from 3mm high tensile steel to prevent wear to the main grading blade. Especially suited to high wear surfaces eg. pure sand.

Electric Lift & Depth Control – Adds an electric lift actuator, which both controls working depth, and operates between working / travelling modes, at the flick of a switch. Ideal for busy livery yards which time is an a premium! Requires 12v electric supply from towing vehicle.
